The Nacra 15 World Championships has come to an end with the proclamation of the Belgians Henri Demesmaeker and Frederique Van Eupen as the World Champions. The second position goes to the French team formed by Doran Gouron and Kenza Coutard and the third position also goes to France with the team formed by Thomas Proust and Martineau Clement, in addition they have been earned the sub 16 championship, being one of the sensations of these days. In the female category, the Belgians Axelle Van Eupen and Justine Van Tongel have achieved the World Championship.
The championships celebrated from the 21st to the 27th of April in Barcelona International Sailing Center, have counted with the participation of more than 100 sailors arrived from all over the World. Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Spain, Finland, France, Great Bretain, Italy, Virgin Islands, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, United States of America and Venezuela.
Besides disputing the World tittle of this class, this Championships serves as a classificatory tournament for the Youth Olympic Games that will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
